How many Earth name variations does Kara have? Why is there so many Earth names for Kara?

Last question, do you think Kara should go on to be called Superwoman? Or another superhero name? Or just stick with Supergirl?

kara has had three main name variations: linda lee danvers (pre crisis), linda lang (post crisis), and kara danvers (rebirth). she has so many because dc gives her a new origin and supporting cast with each reboot, so she ends up bonding with entirely different people in each universe: pre-crisis kara had been adopted by fred and edna danvers, post-crisis kara was taken in by lana lang, and rebirth kara was placed in the care of jeremiah and eliza danvers.

and yes i do think she should go by superwoman! i think it's lame that dc can recognize that lana and lois would obviously be called superWOMAN whenever they get powers (on account of them being grown women), but refuse to extend that same line of thinking to kara (who has been a grown woman since supergirl: woman of tomorrow came out, and even before that way back in pre-crisis continuity). also jon got to be called superman the moment that he became an adult and yet his aunt who could not be younger than 25 is still being called superGIRL... and i think that sucks!
